I don't feel well...

...so we are having a quiet day. Which feels a shame since we were reading about the history of currency yesterday and had wanted to go to the Manchester Museum to explore the Money Gallery today. But it is closed. I hope they don't screw it up like they did with the boring, poorly lit, confused Living Worlds Gallery.

Education has taken on the face of real life in a big way over the past few months. The Wee One has had to deal with a lot of change recently, with parents dealing with their parents.  One grandparent has dementia and another was ill and died over Christmas. It has been up and down and up again but with the spring-like weather we all seem to be feeling a bit sunnier.

It is time for sowing seeds and readying the ground which has been a part of our lives for a few years now.

But the important thing is we have been doing Maths - Symmetry and shapes and  using geometry to draw simple designs. It feels good to have something tangible and in the language of Educationalese to talk about. Really it isn't the most important thing, just what people want to know about. Not how we are doing our best to prepare our youngster for growing up in a world we are destroying, where idiocy is idolized, and all the isms are poisoning our society. It will all be okay because she can count lines of symmetry.

Sorry, I did say I wasn't feeling well...it makes me even more sarcastic and despondent.
